2017 Events Fashion Local Spring

Who made the clothes on your back? Fashion Revolution Week is about asking just that. From April 24-30 join the campaign to bring more transparency to the fashion industry by using #whomademyclothes to ask brands who made your clothes. At Bamboo Ballroom we support local Canadian designers, below are a few of the local designers we carry in store.


Eve & Enoch Fashion Revolution


Brand: Eve & Enoch

Designed and made in: Edmonton, Alberta

About the brand: Eve & Enoch began with the intention of creating thoughtfully designed pieces that are both fashionable and comfortable to inspire individuals and empower them to be the best bold version of themselves. 

About the designer: Jessalyn has had a passion for creating clothes since she was a child, she turned this passion into a career and a successful brand after graduating MC college.

KIMDER Fashion revolution


Designed and Made in: Edmonton, Alberta

About the brand: KIMDER is a small leather goods company that brings out the rocker in everyone. Since its founding, it has worked to create beautiful bags that will stand the test of time. More recently the brand has expanded into a thrashed clothing line and smaller leather accessories, like their mini leather wallets. 

About the designer: Kim Der has a had a lifelong love of handbags, and in 2012 she created her first line of KIMDER handbags. Kim is inspired by the amazing women in her life, and names each bag after them.

SUKA Fashion Revolution Edmonton Canada Designer

Brand: SUKA

Designed and Made in: Edmonton, Alberta

About the brand: SUKA is a lifestyle brand that mixes an understanding of music, subcultures, and high fashion to create wearable street wear with an edge! SUKA's most recent Badlands collection featured neon dinosaurs, fringe, and bollos. 

About the designer: Ali (the women on the right) is the creative force behind SUKA, as the owner and creative director. She graduated from MC college in 2001, and has since become an integral part of the Edmonton fashion scene.

Brand: Sessa Wearables

Designed and Made in: Edmonton, Alberta

About the brand: Sessa Wearables is an urban contemporary brand designed for the working women on the go. Sessa uses unique fabrics and prints, incorporating them into clean lined-designs to produce brilliant pieces. 

About the designer: Tressa, the designer behind Sessa Wearables, has been in the Edmonton Fashion scene since 2001 when she graduated from Marvel College. Fashion is Tressa's art and she takes her inspiration from all around her.
